Christmas Celebrations

Last Saturday morning we got together with the Bruning family for a lovely breakfast, Sinterklaas celebration and swimming at the pool...  Breakfast was a big spread of Bacon, Eggs, Pancakes, Fruit and Pastries and was enjoyed by all! :)  For Sinterklaas the theme was 'holidays' and everyone got spoilt.  It was a beautiful morning for swimming or relaxing at the pool, our Little Miss absolutely loves the water! :)

On Sunday Mark, Kara and I enjoyed lunch with the parents and bubs from my mothers group.  Unfortunately I forgot my camera... :(  It was super cute to see the kids in their Christmas outfits playing together.  Was also nice to meet the daddies of Kara's baby friends! :)

Sunday night saw 'The Heritage Concert Band' perform at the Southern River Carols Night.  It was alot of fun to perform for the first time and we received alot of positive comments!  Look forward to next year when rehearsals begin again! :)

It is so crazy busy at this time of year!  Can't wait till next week Friday, we're off on holidays down south! :)

Our Little Miss :)

I'm sitting here watching my little monster blow raspberries on my freshly mopped floor and try to pull herself up on the coffee table (have already heard her head bump on the tiled floor too many times!)...  I cannot believe how fast bubba is growing up... If only we adults could learn things at the rate babies do!  In the past couple weeks Little Miss has started pulling herself up to standing on various furniture items, she can climb up steps, she can clap, she has finally mentioned "mumumumum" a few times and she has also figured out how to drink through a straw (thanks to an aunty whose drink was just too yummy to resist)...  She is sort of getting there with food and can hold her bottle herself now, which is sooooo much easier!  She has a huge personality and never, ever sits still!  And she is absolutely loved to bits! :)

Cheeky little monster!

Super excited because her hair is now long enough for a cute little pigtail!

She loves herself soooo much she kisses her reflection in the mirror...

We decided to do a 'little' Sinterklass coffee morning with Oma and the Pluggie Aunties & Cousins... It didn't end up being very little at all! :)  This is what Kara and I scored, spoilt hey!! :)  We had heaps of fun!  I look forward to our weekly coffee mornings again next year!

Morning Tea

I was busy baking last week for our last women's club meeting and morning tea with my aunties...  I just had to share the recipes because they were pretty yummy (if i do say so myself!).  Just click the link below the picture to go to the recipe on taste.com.au...

Process 3 packets of Oreos, mix in a block of philly cheese, roll into balls, chill and dip in melted chocolate... easy and yum! :)

Very similar to these two recipes:

By the way if anyone feels the urge to buy a recipe book get The Australian Women's Weekly, Little Squares and Slices... it has some great tasting but relatively simple recipes.

Fine Food and Craft Market

Last Saturday, Southern River held their annual Fine Food and Craft Market.  The organising ladies and all involved did a fantastic job making sure the day ran smoothly!  It was such a nice atmosphere and a great event for the church and the wider community...  The food was fantastic and it was amazing to see what some people can create!

Jeanette, Di and I were in charge of the lucky/fun/happy dip (or whatever you would like to call them).  It was heaps of fun organising them and it was great to see the kids faces light up when they saw their prize! I will definitely be doing them again next year (good excuse to go shopping) :)

the best lucky dips in the entire world! :)

getting her face painted

awww... it matches her cardigan! :)

"Okay Daddy, I want to go and play at home now!"
Do you like her headband?  I bought it (and others) from a stall at the markets, some very talented lady made it! :)

Kiera and her beautiful butterfly...
Kiera was a great helper at our stall... She would take the money from customers and give them their change.  Thanks Kiera! :)

Evan and his airplane :)

Little Miss and her Daddy spent the day together, who knows what mischief they got up to together!

Can't wait till the markets next year!
