The very beginnings...

My new camera charger came in the post today so I thought I would upload some pics straight away! I almost need to take some new photos because the herbs have really settled into their new home and some of the seeds are starting to sprout...

Our New Vegetable Garden

On Monday (public holiday) just gone, Mark & I decided to plant a vegetable garden...  With the fantastic help of garden guru Di ;o)  While we were waiting for Di to arrive Mark and I got stuck into the weeding and garden bed preparation... we thought it would take ages because it was sort of over grown with weeds and grass but, were pleasantly surprised when it only took about half hour to clear it all and make it look ready!  The soil was actually really soft and fantastic, we figure something must have been grown there before!  So when Di arrived we set off to Bunnings and bought a whole pile of seeds and seedlings and then went home and started planting.  We did do some research before we left (about proper times to plant certain things) but we decided against following it and just planted a bit of everything... we are just hoping for the best!! Although it is looking really good :o)  At the moment all I have to show for it is a map of the garden layout, i took some photos but still need to download them onto the computer... they will definitely follow soon!  Send all you perfect weather wishes this way please!  We need the sun to stay for a bit longer! :o)
