I love the show!

You can tell Christmas is coming... slowly but surely the weeks/weekends are filling up with all sorts of things!

The Kelmscott Annual Show was on Friday and Saturday and Kara and I really wanted to go (especially seeing that Mark had put some of his artwork for display).  Kara and I ended up going to the show with Mum and Dad Plug and later on Mark met us there.  We were very excited to see that Mark won first prize for one of his portrait drawings... He won a grand total of $6! :) (obviously didn't do it for the prize money).  It was so great to see his work up on the wall, he really is an artist (although way too humble, lucky his wife likes to show him off)!

This one is one of my favourites... it's huge and the clouds are amazing! 

I didn't take my camera to the show... I decided that I was just going to enjoy it :) It was such a nice atmosphere.  Kara loved looking at all the colours and listening to all the sounds... She also loved the animals, but not when Opa took her too close! :)  Mark, Kara and I ended up going back later that night to pick up Mark's art and watch the fireworks... Kara didn't know what to think!

In between the show we headed to Woodman's Point to celebrate a friend's birthday with a bbq dinner.  Was beautiful there, the weather was perfect!

On Sunday we were blessed with two wonderful sermons and between services we relaxed outside, enjoying the beautiful summer day.  Kara looked extra gorgeous so I couldn't resist taking some photos! :)

While I was at church in the afternoon Kara and Mark had some fun with all the formula tins Kara has emptied so far...

We're off to the park this morning... hopefully I remember to take my camera! :)

Really quick review of the past 6 months...

How shocking am I?  I make all these promises to stay updated, out pops a baby and 6 months goes flying by!  I can't believe that last time I posted our darling little bubs was still tucked away, all cosy and warm, in my tummy!  Now she's six months old and tucked away, all cosy and warm, in her cot, fast asleep (hopefully for all night... not 4am!). To get you up to speed I thought I would show you some photos of my bubs... one for each month :)

As you can see our Little Miss is absolutely gorgeous (I may be a little biased) and is slowly but surely growing into a cheeky little monster!  We absolutely adore her and continually feel very blessed to have her in our lives!

I will try to stay a little more up to date from now on... maybe... :) My motivation will be having one of those awesome blog books made... maybe if I forget to regularly update people could gently remind me?  I'm not very good at committing to things, it would be great if you all could help me out!

Hopefully I'll talk to you all again... within a week!   ........I promise........... :)

Easter Weekend...

Well, Thursday came and went and still no bubs... but I don't really mind because I have been feeling great! :)  The dr said our little munchkin is still very muchly comfortable in there and probably won't be arriving any time soon...  He told me to not worry and enjoy the Easter weekend and that is what we did! :)

On Good Friday after church we went to Mum and Dad Plug's and enjoyed coffee with them and Uncle Phil & Aunty Sharon and family...  In the afternoon we debated going out but ended up just slacking around at home...

On Saturday afternoon we went out to Fremantle with Di and caught the end of some of the buskers that were performing.  It was beautiful in Fremantle and we enjoyed fish and chips and a delicious ice cream before heading home to watch a movie...

On Sunday morning after church we went to visit Oma Plug...

On Monday morning I was picked up by Dad and Mum Bruning and Oma Kobes (as Mark needed to go to work... sigh...) and we met BSKE and CSJ at the lookout for the airport... We saw a few planes land and take off and then went to a beautiful park on the Swan River.  Frank & Monz and Mark joined us there for lunch and we had an enjoyable afternoon altogether...

Friday Nights...

Mark and I decided to make the most of the beautiful evenings and enjoy dinner out and about for a couple Friday nights...

On the 23rd of March we went to Cicerello's in Fremantle...  :)  We thought it might be the last time we had fish and chips in Freo before becoming parents but we happened to end up there again on Easter Saturday (still waiting for the big arrival)!! What can I say, bubs loves fish and chips! :)

The next week I took the train into Perth, Mark picked me up from the station and we ordered a couple of pizzas from Little Ceasars in Leederville which we enjoyed overlooking Perth in the beautiful Kings Park...

Playing on Uncle Mark's iPad :o)

Today I got to babysit the gorgeous Joshua while his mum went to have her very exciting 20 week scan!  We had a lot of fun playing together, he has got to be one of the most happiest most content little dudes I know! :o)  We played on Uncle Mark's iPad for awhile, Josh loved seeing himself on the screen (although he quickly decided it would be much more fun to try to eat it!!)

Can you believe it!?  A blog post from Ev (the worst blogger in the world)! :)

Just thought I would share some photos of us getting organised for the arrival of our bubba (hopefully in about 3 weeks time... eeek!)  Last week my dear Mum came around and we painted the baby room and put up the border, it turned out very cute!  Mark set up all the furniture as well... We need to figure out where everything will fit but we still have some time... :)

Yesterday my Mum and SIL Sophie threw me a surprise baby shower! I wasn't expecting it at all (even though thinking back mum did drop some not very subtle hints)! We enjoyed coffee and yummy cake together, played some games and Bubba got very spoilt!  Thanks to everyone for coming and to Mum & Sophie of course for making it all happen!! :)

Over the past few weeks I have been doing some baby loads of washing... Today I did my first load that included clothes... they looks so adorable all hanging on the line... makes it feel a little bit more real!

The baby and myself are extremely healthy according to my dr and the midwives which we are very thankful for!  My dr told me not to come back to see him at about 35 weeks unless I really wanted to (until of course I reach my due date or see him in the delivery room!), which I think is great!  All the midwives I've seen so far have been super nice! :)  I'm still walking/swimming at the pools every morning with Mum & Aunty Sharon, sneaking in a day of relief teaching here and there, attempting to sew with Mum B and SIL Sarah, going out for coffee visits... etc... actually I need to think very hard of the last day I just stayed at home! :)

Well, I'm not going to promise to be a dedicated blogger from now on but I will try very hard.  I think when the baby comes it will be a little easier to find things to update you all on! :)
